About Karl

I am a qualified secondary English teacher with teaching experience in Australia and Switzerland, and a Master's in Applied Linguistics from the University of Oxford.Before moving to Switzerland, I taught English and mentored secondary students in Sydney. My work has focused particularly on English language and literature, academic writing, and supporting multilingual students in developing the language and analytical skills needed to succeed across the curriculum.I believe effective tuition should do more than improve a single assignment or examination result. My aim is to help students become clearer thinkers, more confident writers and increasingly independent learners.I am based in Zuoz, Graubünden, and work with students throughout the Upper Engadin as well as internationally online.
